Lessons I have learned from creatures on the ranch.
ButterfliesAs I walk by my cheery shaded zinnia flowers, they are bustling with
alfalfa and painted lady butterflies. They love fliting from one flower to
another sipping up the sweet nourishing nectar. I have also noticed they
congregate around soggy mud.
Curious, I googled!
Not only do butterflies
need nectar for energy they also need the nourishment from the salt and
minerals mud provides.
During conference I felt like a unique yellow butterfly being nourished from all the diverse, unique, and enriching talks. Each one revitalizing me. The words of Christ from our Prophet, apostles and leaders is the sweet nectar we all need in our lives.
SpidersWho likes walking into spider webs? I know they serve a purpose!! The insects cannot see the invisible, silken, spun thread. When insects crawl or fly into them they are dinner. The Devil operates the same way by building webs across the walking paths of our lives. Like a spider, the method never changes. Satan wants us to be dishonest, lie, tell half truths. Remember when walking on the path listen to the Holy Ghost. He will help you not to get entangled and the sword of truth will cut through all of Satan's webs.
HorseThis horse belongs to a four year old boy named R.L. He loves to play trucks with R.L. He gets right in the middle of all the trucks. Remember everyone needs a friend.
I have been cleaning on the vet shed this week and mowing at one of the hunter's houses.
Ronnie has been welding a grubber attachment.
Prepped and poured a large concrete pad. Tannin and Kendal came to help. It was a bit much for a bunch of old folks.
