YIKES! Where did July go?

Myself and another missionary couple are still working on the Rock House. It's looking good!

The front and back porches are now all put back together. Yahoo! I painted the down spouts  last week, and today I put them back up. I didn't think it would take all day but this old lady is old and slow. We have hauled off a couple of truck loads of trash and construction debris and cleaned up the yard. It was looking pretty junky. 

The ranch sponsored a ward 24th of July celebration on Saturday. A little late but couldn't fit it in any sooner. Brother Sissions the ranch biologist was in charge of shooting one of the million pigs around here for the pit, but he just couldn't seem to find one and when he did he missed the shot. Oh well, we ended up buying the meat and cooking it in the pit. It was still yummy. The rest of the food was a pot luck affair. We made a slip and slid for the kids and the rest of the ward just visited. Fun day!

It is still HOT!!! today was 103, I can't believe I am saying this but it is better than 114. I look forward to cooler weather. We are in such a severe drought here, please pray for rain for the ranch. It is such an important element in ranch life.
